As I gazed into the night
It sparkled as a diamond -

Sometimes for me it's like trying to net a butterfly when it takes to the wing!

Valerie, you have the most lovely tempo - poetry should absolutely sing like this! I find it amazing how each of your pieces comes alive in melody for me.... I think it possible that you and I have the same beat in our minds.... This is the second of your quaterns I have read in a row. (The other being 'A Maiden's Plea') I personally had a little glitch when ending the third stanza of both poems - like a beat was missing in my head - but that's because my internal metronome is stupid.... Other than that these poems sing themselves right out of the screen! You certainly have a wonderful gift.

Soaring through the night, leaving messages of love, hope and freedom among the stars, sparkling through the night. Beautiful thoughts of poetry set in a poignant rhythm of creativeness. Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn

Very stylish Val. They really do fly, once they break out of the chrysalis of the pen that binds them fast.

So the poem has taken flight after all its writhing and wriggling! It is soaring high into the sky with the messages of love, hope and freedom...! Let it keep flying and conquer greater realms! ! Enjoyed much! !

Wow, Val, this is often just how I feel about poetry. It flies by and it is for us to pluck it from the morning glory. I really recommend the essay, the poet from RW Emerson who expresses a simmilar idea in a wonderful way. He says that most poems have written in the universe and as soon we manage to connect without ego to this great universe, the genius stored in it will be able to flow through our minds. This poem is another great work of you. A super ten.
