A Poem Is a Lovely Room

A poem is a lovely room
Where thoughts can go to rest,
A place to be revisited
By those who use it best,

A door to open up the heart
And let old memories out,
A gleam of light among the dark
Closed shadows there about.

A poem is a lovely room
With ornaments about;
Some sing a softly muted tune,
Some resonate and shout.

There is no gift to warm the heart
Or show just how your feel
As that a poem can impart
For all its thoughts are real.

If you have never known a poem,
You have my deep-felt sorrow;
And should you never know a poem
I'd weep for your tomorrow.

Hahahaha what an end! It made me smile yes a great loss yet those who would not feel the beep or ding they may not feel a thing. Yes we shall weep, embrace and care helping them back to where belong. Poetry is humanity.

Ok! are you sure I don't know? Your writing is like a gentle summer breeze that caresses your skin in the morning! I feel this breeze on my skin right now as I am reading this by my window. And being the hopeless romantic that I am, I can't help but avow my I love to you and your writing! Thank you for gracing my world with your words!
