Will you find that which you seek Withing the ruins of fire grown weak? Such a sad quest, the fire growing cold, only a spark left, flame dying....but there is hope, and you show it in the ending of this poem.

You have chosen a perfect metaphor for describing a 'stale' relationship 'fire grown weak' - fire equating with passion, energy and excitement. Your second stanza's solution - the dream is very romantic, but perhaps it just takes the right sort of fan to rekindle the old flame before it goes out completely. A personal and profound poem. love, Allie xxxx

Beneath the outward beauty of this poem (I'm making it my mantra for the day) , an interesting twist lies-'Unburied in night, dreams...' -our most pure desire for the light, for life, not darkened-while at the same time, 'unburied', hints that out of death and ashes, life does arise. Phillip

This is wonderful Est. Soul searching in every sense of the word. Desire, dreams, - this poem suggests that nothing is out of reach. Justine
