A Poem Bold And New
It is hard to write a poem,
When its all been done before.
Striving for a bold approach.
Fresh new avenues to explore.
One imaginative and original,
One to grab your attention.
One of a different slant,
One displaying great invention.
Just how good is any poet,
When thinking outside the box.
Or even a gifted poetess,
To scribe something unorthodox.
Yes break with poetry tradition,
Write it in your own way.
For a poem bold and new,
Deserves to have its say.

Excellent poem Shaun. And yes it is difficult to keep writing innovative works. I try to write in different styles. Hopefully, the poetry course that will begin in several weeks time will enable me to add more strings to my poetic bow, so to speak. Anyway, it's a' not always touched by the hand of God, but I keep on trying' inspired ten from me!
