A poem is something that emerges out at an inspired moment, embellished by the poet's imagination and expressed in the most powerful fashion...! . The rules and regulations of writing a poem shouldn't hinder the poet from the free expression of his thoughts... But finally when it comes out, a good poem will have a spontaneous flow and will commune with the reader and leave on him some powerful impact... You have an opinion about the regular and structured poetry, this point reminds me of T.S.Eliot's statement: Free verse is not free-verse...he means that even the free flowing verse also has some bondage of rhythm and harmony! ... i liked reading this for its specific point of view...though i follow rules most of the time!
