A poem is something that emerges out at an inspired moment, embellished by the poet's imagination and expressed in the most powerful fashion...! . The rules and regulations of writing a poem shouldn't hinder the poet from the free expression of his thoughts... But finally when it comes out, a good poem will have a spontaneous flow and will commune with the reader and leave on him some powerful impact... I totally agree with what you have stated here Rajesh! A great write! !

A poem is also to a poet his very own island Churned out in the ocean by his intellect and emotion, It is an instrument on which a poet composes his songs When his soul is besieged by situations that upon him throng. , , , , , great write, , love the message you gave, , about poems that they dont have to follow any rules, , , , its just a poets way of how he wish to express, , , if the poem is written from heart, , , it always be beautiful, , ,

You have an opinion about the regular and structured poetry, this point reminds me of T.S.Eliot's statement: Free verse is not free-verse...he means that even the free flowing verse also has some bondage of rhythm and harmony! ... i liked reading this for its specific point of view...though i follow rules most of the time!
