A great writing! ! A true lover always feel humbled at the greatness and beauty of the beloved. His heart is riddled with doubt whether his feelings reach to the heart of his love. The poem flows so beautifully- - - - - Congratulations for being Poet of the Day! !

The poem is a great tribute to a notable fellow poet and portrays her hallowed influence. It also merges nature with the poet's feelings quite beautifully. Thanks & Congrats- POTD. to you I just a piece of ice I thaw under mountain's flames

Just a piece of ice in your eyes, darling. What a terrifically haunting metaphor for looking into the eyes of the desired, and finding nothing but apathy; certainly one of the most distressing human experiences this life offers. You have captured that magnificently in these last 2 stanzas, dear poet. Bravo, indeed. I pray peace and grace into your journey, my friend, you and all the PH family, as we wander together down the lonely streets of snowy avenue.

What a great way to look upon a whole, human being as an object: a hollow vessel that can easily be controlled, Just mere water: one click of the finger and all the bruising, ill feelings of treacherous circumstances could easily disappear without a second thought, instead of sticking like glue on our psyche. Well written, dear poet.

This poem is spellbinding. The imagery is simply beautiful and the ice imagery later on speaks such cold, sad words. The repetition of 'darling' works so well too! Karin Anderson
