A Picture Poem by Saul Palti

A Picture

The rising fortification transformed the eagles eye
dare to reach his serpent wings flapping across the sky
through rain and towards heaven
bought and sold his flight was not in vein
upon his body he carried not only flesh
but also thoughts within his heart

his head not only complained
or rang bullish bulls of steam but also comprehensions
and memories from beyond his age old dream
what was transformed to rabbit he knew little
of opportunity to dissolve his rights or longing
for total earthiness

if things were of highest value
bought for a penny and sold for gold
then all profits are not equal but a workload of labour
I denounce gratification on another peril
and fulfil just to compose each to his fullest
not only was the lightning close enough to fill
but close enough to excite

yes opportunity was there but what does not nod his head
just hippocras and even dilutions of his good and bad
to destroy their way and morals first one must expose
his weakness from the fort this one must denounce was cool
it is attraction
I dont deny their boredom or burden

true enough this was industry which was sold
to the knowledgeable what was left was of no point
or target only maintenance and nonsense
