A Personal Touch Poem by Lauren Coles

A Personal Touch

A room is not a room unless everything is in it's place,
A person walks into a room like a ghost because it's walls are naked,
Dust covers the floor,
People put houses up for sale for many different reasons,
Maybe because the previous owner couldn't afford to live on their own anymore,
Maybe the previous owner had to move because of a new job,
Maybe someone lived in a apartment and couldn't have any pets,
The walls are naked because they had to pack up all their stuff to make room for the new arrivals which is you,
The house is yours now so you can do as you please,
You might be á artist and maybe want to make the upstairs into a studio for your art to live,
Your house is where your imagination comes alive and when you go to bed at night your dreams come reality.
