Yes, indeed it's a perfect autumn day. To find pleasure in little things in our surroundings is the best a human can do. The imagery is vivid n evocative. The reader takes a walk with you through this lovely autumn day when Nature is at peace. And the warmth of friendship n relations is felt in the air. I love the philosophical touch you give to the poem by reflecting upon the direction n purpose of our mortal journey. A great write. A perfect 10.

A very meaningful poem. You focused on small things of immediate wonder- - - flowers turning to sun, birds asserting their territories with song- -You also wonder about the purpose of our journey, that nature destined for us, and who are with you in this journey- - -your friends- -from your immediate family to distant friends- - - - spread from Minneapolis to Petersburg- - - - The poem has deep spiritual undertone when it says 'Soon after I finish my litany, shafts of darkness pierced the woods, and I hastened my steps. As I drove home, night completely enveloped this perfect Autumn day. ' An amazing write, thanks for sharing.
