I applaud your acknowledgement of Whitman's great poem PASSAGE TO INDIA. This is one of his visionary poems which embrace all of Planet Earth and her peoples. The wonderful thing about such visionary poems is that they continue to grow and expand after Time and Death have silenced the individual poet: you have fulfilled that role in your poem. You have given the poem a new fresh presence by your appreciation; your poem will be forever linked to Whitman's, and advances his vision of a unified humanity, characterized by good will and joy.
