When I found you again
At first, I tried to desist
From talking to you much
As I wasn't sure
If it would be right to give in to my urge
To carry on the conversation
That we left off decades ago
Yet we bonded again so naturally
And continued our talk
As though we'd never been apart
Our thoughts and words
Have been a part of the cosmos
For millions of years
A part of the ethereal sound of this universe
To not freely communicate
Would be a charade
So give in to this fascination I must
I only worry
About the creatures listening in
Is our talk worthy of their ears?
I know that God knows
For He is the one
Who brought us together again
I wouldn't hide anything from Him
And I want Him to know
That I am grateful for His gift
I now know we were meant to be together
Throughout our journey
And perhaps it's my fault
That we were not
