A Paradise Of Nature - Poem by james watkin

A Paradise Of Nature -

A paradise of nature -
Are their other kinds?
The sole green haunt of creatures
Man, to their loss, finds!

Intrusive - in whose woke stress
Ponds, eruptive, foam
Take sudden fright. As though earth
Were not our joint home.

Flippant - but how sensed, shows they
Keep in good repair
Attunement to its vast peace.
As sacred, as fair.
