Such a sad story, but you give her the true honour and dignity she deserves. Very good point of letting the assaulter go free after a few years
It is painful to read the poem and the context of the poem... and so nice of you to pen down all this to convey all this to those who don't know this turmoil of that sufferer's life... really strong, Kavya!
Seven years Or forty two years which is inching In our Balance of Law!
Very powerful write Kavya.... How we all feel for that poor girl whose dreams were strangled at a young age and had to lead a vegetative existence for the last 42 years, never knowing the sun rising or setting behind her! Inspite of all the developments we claim to have achieved, there is hardly any change in men's attitude towards women..... Still we are in a barbarian society. 'Our girls bled then Our girls still bleed' .... You have rightly concluded!
A fantastic yet a painful tribute to Aruna Shanbaug. Really that ward is responsible for bringing her into vegetative state. A Beautiful and timely presentation Kavya...
Beautiful poem on hard reality....Your way to express this truth is picturesque.....
