A rolling cascadence of nature's beauty that rolls off the tongue as read aloud. Great imagery as artfully put to paper(or as in this case-internet's monitors.) Way to go. Keep up the good work for poetry will always be within man's heart and in his keep-chest. A definite ten on my scorecard. Best regards-Mike Gale.

A lovely painted picture Lucy, of an early dawning in Devon, my Father's home county. A lovely area, and I can see that early mist on Dartmoor. Very well put together. Love Ernestine XXX

I feel that I have to revise my appraisal of your work Lucy. You have move into the realms of free verse and you do it so well. This is a wonderous piece its theme suggesting an overwheming optimism, looing to the new year with confidence. And you have nature as your theme to project the wonderment. The line which introduces the mother blackbird is pure inventiveness.
