A tattoo is mostly a symbol of nativity. I don't know whether the poet//poetess is a native or a descendant of immigrants. The poem needs a foot note. Technically it's a good poem full of emotions and determinations.
The way this poem is composed makes me wonder about the back story. Many readers can insert their own back stories and identify with your phoenix tattoo. I'm imagining some form of addiction and recovery, but the back story could be anything where the road once traveled was rough and the road ahead is not necessarily easy, but better.
To the life I know / as long as I survive. good poem, thanks. I invite you to read my poems and comment.
Liked it very much although personally I would never like a tattoo
nice poem...a wonderful way to express eternal love for someone...
Sad and poignant....commensurate words pattern. Good Work..
i hate tatoos, but a poem about a tatoo. this'll do. nice work. You however will fly upon my flesh... sweet rhythm.
Feelings felt deep within definitely a tattoo by default... I liked the way you express it...
this is a great way to think about a tattoo... vary good images. I really like this one. good job. Crystal
Lovely image of the phoenix and its illustration on the skin. 'Nothing Lasts Forever' but a tattoo lasts as long as the skin has life. A sensitive metaphor, written without oversentimentalising or padding.
Ok you definately have talent...this is my kind of writing right here. You can instantly tell the people with natural talent on this site, and you are one of them! ! Excellent 10/10
A poem of remembrance, hope, and determination to never forget. A deep wonderful write,
A tattooed poem in the readers' hearts..You write very well.Thank you
mad props sister. i like this one. your just describing a tattoo but you do in a way that makes it sound, for lack of a better word, epic. nice.
This is a subject that I have often wondered about. Some have tattos on them which they may regret in life for eg...some one's name or the name of their caste which may embarass them later in life. But it is something that you cannot erase and I felt so much for your thought in this wonderful poem. Regards, arya
Good morning Viola. I just read your poem, interesting and thought provoking, sounds like a romance poem of some sort. Well done written in the words on the skin. Loyd MY latest post is Morning Murders. Have a great day!
