His name is the past.... the substantial aspect of this wonderful write. Top score and to my favourite.
Suresh Kumar, sometimes yes, sometimes no, poetry gets to break the rules in favor of presenting ideas and images and sometimes even murders the poor grammar lady
Anjandev, thank you for choosing that line out of all the others!
Edward! ! Glad you liked it- what with the dead horses and all it is way out of your wheelhouse, I think, but you put up with it nicely! !
Robert, Yes, you are right about life leaving us a dead horse everyday.
" Not by riding dead horses" ! Thanks for sharing this poem with us.

This is tremendous, love it! I am not saying that just because I'm an old West-Texas cowboy who loves good horses either! ! ! I agree completely with you; superb statement, wise words, and powerful poetry. A definite ten-plus for me.

Let's ask for a miracle Because these dead horses cannot be mended by any human hands
Absolutely, Soran, because I tried for years to get places while riding those horses- didn't work then and it won't work now! !
horse rider yes, has a heart heart of love.... mount yes mount on it with love dead! oh! for your dismounting with hate now it is in dead! come to it with love look miraculously it carries you to God......
Really thought provoking...and that dead horse, we usually find ourselves 'beating it.' Riding suggests some optimism or faith, albeit, as you suggest, very misplaced. When forced with a reality of having to change, it is fascinating how that horse represents the duality of our flawed nature...that stands in our way before we must change. A perfect 10!
It's a value laden piece with an inbuilt message. I love this fabulous poem.
