Suresh Kumar, sometimes yes, sometimes no, poetry gets to break the rules in favor of presenting ideas and images and sometimes even murders the poor grammar lady

Edward! ! Glad you liked it- what with the dead horses and all it is way out of your wheelhouse, I think, but you put up with it nicely! !

Sandy Hoss- My reply box isn't working but we" ll try this. Ah, come on, we horse lovers can't pass up a poem that has the word horse in it! ! ! ! It's a physical impossibility to say NAY NEIGH to one! I'm glad you got a KICK out of this and PONIED up a 10 for it. Oh, I couldn't help myself

This is tremendous, love it! I am not saying that just because I'm an old West-Texas cowboy who loves good horses either! ! ! I agree completely with you; superb statement, wise words, and powerful poetry. A definite ten-plus for me.

Let's ask for a miracle Because these dead horses cannot be mended by any human hands

Absolutely, Soran, because I tried for years to get places while riding those horses- didn't work then and it won't work now! !

Really thought provoking...and that dead horse, we usually find ourselves 'beating it.' Riding suggests some optimism or faith, albeit, as you suggest, very misplaced. When forced with a reality of having to change, it is fascinating how that horse represents the duality of our flawed nature...that stands in our way before we must change. A perfect 10!
