A New Dawn
With bated breath, wait I for dawn's first light,
To banish shadows of the solemn night,
When in the east, the sun doth show its face,
And darkness flees, pursued by morn's embrace.
The birds their melodies in joy doth sing,
As daybreak spreads its golden, gilded wing.
The world, awash in colors bright and fair,
A scene of nature's beauty, sweet and rare.
This morning spectacle, with wonder rife,
Doth soothe my soul and quicken mortal life.
As dawn bestows its gifts upon the earth,
Rejoice! Another day of wondrous birth.
