A New Chapter Poem by Stephen akogbeto (Steve Rae)

A New Chapter

*A NEW CHAPTER*

Matric Coming, matric loading, Ajeh it has come and go,
24 players on the pitch, it's your turn, brother come and goal,
I am cold, coded no fights that's what I was told
Be a good boy, mummy always anytime she scolds.

But this chapter, make me shiver,
I first thought it was cold,
New chapter unlocked, unlimited joy unfold,
Suffer ness, involved but they are left untold,
Honestly, sapa go choke.

But this matric is it agony or peace,
Come late to class then lecturers will be pissed.

But they say matric nah recognition,
Being known is all aims of matriculation,
It's only it's ramification.

Now the battle line is drawn,
Between this LASUEDITE who was not warned,
It has been said, many times, not onced,
Don't join brotherhoods not legally known or formed.

Great Lasued Student, GREAT,
But note, Being great is by grace.
