Brings to mind Victor Hugo's Les Miserables, whose protagonist is sentenced to 5 years in prison for stealing a loaf of bread to feed his family. Your work is a reminder that such circumstances are not limited by time or geography and is a biting indictment of humanity's failure to tend to our fellow brothers and sisters in their need. Congratulations on POD.
