The poet's reference to overflowing leisure justifies the title.

!) a wonderful poem about enjoying the presence of the other person and the sultry summer that comes to the window, let the work wait, that will be finished later, what a contrast: the great peacemaker and this lovely poem

An uplifting poem of summer, the season which I am in now. I wonder who 'thy' refers to.

once again i'm taken with the good soul of tagore and his poetry—lush and elegant at the same time. he so well mastered writing in english. i can only imagine how well he wrote in bengali. as too often happens in ph, there are errors in transcription. " quite" should no doubt be " quiet" in the next to last line, and " sing dedication of life" sounds a bit clunky for the usual flow of this poetry master. -gk

Now it is time to sit quite, face to face with thee, and to sing dedication of life in this silent and overflowing leisure.....outstanding conceptualization. This is really a beautiful poem by Rabindranath Tagore.
