Jim, you say it so well how we all feel. One moment we are young, the next we are old and the next we are gone. A sad reflection on life, but a true one. Top Marks from me. Thanks for sharing it my friend. David
Thank you for this eloquent reminder of the relative brevity of life Jim. t x
Wishing you many more moments in which to create fine poems like this one. Write on, Jim. As always, Sandra
Jim, your poetry rings with truth - and this one is no exception. You tell the reader what they already know, but in such a way as to make it fresh and accessible. Birth to death in the twinkle of an eye. It can seem like a bad dream on a bad day - but on a good one, a joy and a delight. Thanks for this. love, Allie xxxxxxxxxxx
Great poem, you got everything right in here about time passing before we can blink.......Am not ready to die now but sure think of things flying by when another year is about to close and up we go, 'in number' only. I really enjoyed reading this. thanks~~~~~~~marci. :)
So I'm not the only one who thinks this way. I still remember being eight years old, and thinking, the end of my life might seem a million miles away, but it's an illusion; and in the blink of an eye, it will suddenly seem to have all slipped away unnoticed, when I wasn't looking. A very intense poem. It's great.
There is so much in the vapour of your poetry Jim, a clearing of the mist reveals A solid way with words All the best Love duncan X
Very intense and so true, I was just a child yesterday myself. Can't believe how fast life has passed me by. Great poem, thank you for sharing it. RoseAnn
