A Miss Poem by Kinyua Karanja

A Miss

I missed her by an inch though equal a mile
I guess that might be the case I always miss her
She told me that she could be willing to smile
But warned me that would never last forever
I wondered if she could be loved and be married
She had all the attributes but missed the attitude
Several years, we met again and now we are old
I'm married and she is not, she awakened the mood
We shared our passion and emotions of good days
Then we have to walk on totally opposite ways
She reminded me she wanted to free as wind
Now I know, a miss is miss not matter the kind
