Twenty years ago they raped Baghdad
While the great unwashed cheered them on
As great criminals dethroned a lesser criminal
Never do human beings learn from others
Like the Egyptians and Iraqis before, into the streets we poured with joy
While we lick our wounds, the masters gleefully rub their hands
What has become of the world we knew
Wherein simple games back then we played
With our lives, Russian roulette today they play
Lies for rights, we are fobbed off with
So dark and cold are the nights
And the results but wars, strife and fights
