A Memory Hung in Twisted Hours
By William He
Fog sips the tea,
A brass sun hums wide,
Morning glides in on glass-winged cloak.
A bleeding heart and a brain sizzling out of control,
The eyes are spinning in a vicious loop.
Time folds its seams,
And in the hush,
Great names fall deep, past all hope.
Spines bend in wind's joke.
Tongues grip dried pods,
Speech molts and spins,
Kites dance in dream and tug.
This theatrical sea of life.
Rainbows have disintegrated, no hope for the worn,
The white garbs in mute cloud with all the creases.
Arms hang, long lost to the pull,
Phantom strung to fire-scrawled soul.
The skulls blur and slip,
Roof buds drift like ash,
Warm threads unwind in a pause.
Worlds are growing dull.
Blood spliced in clock, less than a blink,
Red haze eats the rim,
Hill shades hum soft with lull.
