Now I shall determine if your most recent
communique was a demand or a request

As this is a very-very important consideration
before starting my mysterious-magic process

Mull over the facts of the matter and reach
a conclusion, as a little mulling must be done

As you laff and skip rope out side with friends,
much fun, in the warm and inviting summer sun

Maybe it is indeed a request wearing the disguise
of demand, yes this must be so, think nothing of it

The kids must be cooled off as not to become
overheated or plumb tuckered..they must rest a bit

First a furtive look around just to make sure no one
is watching me, precede with caution after that

Not a slather of mayo, but just enough is sublime
the tomato must be fresh, not toooo ripe, has it sat

Quite a tasty treat will be there for all, as you rush
in from play, better tell mamma where you're at
