A Lullaby Exclusive To Her Poem by Unnikrishnan Sivasankara Menon

A Lullaby Exclusive To Her

Rating: 5.0

I still sing (that's what I think)
‘Omanathingal….' and Tasha,
my granddaughter
one year old, sleeps.
Usually.

But, today she was playing
especially naughty;
to tease her, I leant her teddie
on my shoulders ‘n sang
‘Omanathingal….'.

She tore the teddie off my hands,
leaped into my arms,
showered my cheeks with kisses,
and urged me to sing her
her favourite lullaby ‘Omanathingal….'.

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

Children are so possessive as they are precious. Our Tasha gets wild if she sees me behave lovingly with other children

Jealousy is inborn to man, even for a toddler

Thank you Dillipji. We think jealousy is specific to grown ups. But, no! Even my one-year old granddaughter feels jealous if my attention goes to someone else
