And watch the clouds create your Slavic face.
True poetry is ageless I am told,
But those who pen it are as frail as smoke.

Your verse resounds - Gray sounds lowering days, but the ancient bells sound, evoking memory and hope; the clouds are great image makers, those that weave intricate patterns are makers of wonderful imagery -a lovely experience

Your exquisite poem evokes so many feelings, Sandra. A little sadness, peacefullness, nostalgia... I especially love the last two lines. This one is a 10 for sure. Have a wonderful day. Ron

The rare gifted music I hear from most of your poems and the true poet never gets old as same as the limitless sky?

A poem that shows the natural downfall of time but still with a little hope for an ageless poet in its essence. The true poets with their limitless thoughts still uprise from the time-bound age and last forever. Even in a lowering day their words remain intact. Very beautiful poem Ms. Sandra..........10/10 Best Regards........Sameer

your tue imaginations have caught up in the last stanza. From a little difficult strucure in the first two with setting the theme, the mosaic of pattern is cold and romantic, very appealing a 10++

Sadness, longing all encapsulated in exquisite verse and vibrant images but lightens at the end by poesy's promise.

the very title has a tinge of sadness to it, yet it implies such days do come when you are overcome with longing and haunting memories. but you gradually move on to present with the ringing new year and end it on hopeful note. Sandra, your work as i always maintain has awesome quality of serenity, that you see in the personna of a spiritually evolved person.20/10 WARM Regards Mamta

oh, Sandra, i am speechless..amazed at the serenity and inner peace you always give to your readers.I particularly love the first line..'sometimes on lowering days, i think of you.'.and then the last line'IT LIGHTS MY LITTLE CORNER OF THE WORLD. You did make a beautiful connection from the first line and the last line. You speak of what you feel, sad it maybe, but still, on the last line, your using of imagery..HOPE. My poems sometimes did not get attention from my children, but i know, i will be leaving the best legacy..and that is, INSPIRATION.. someday, when my life's journey here on earth ends, i know there is the beginning of light, and hope in the end. a wonderful message..and should i say..a strong and powerful one. Thanks for sharing this to us..As expected, my lowering days end..you have given me a light in my little corner of my world. Love and hugs, Meggie
