Ah, funeral...how painful for the hubby and at the same time...how mournfully joyous to bid adieu to her fulfilling her last wishes. Pathos......tears...in abundance.

Hello Geetha I have seen many beautiful people sleeping peacefully in their casket. I used to sing to them all when I polished their caskets, just them and I in the room. I often wondered if they were wanting to say Do you mind not singing....... As always I love your words Geetha

I have seen many times during my childhood, when a suhagan (a woman whose husband is alive) died she was made a bride before her funeral. That is one of the beauties of Indian culture. You have nicely painted a picture of this centuries old tradition.
