You are the fairy dust in a desert storm,
The flashing beacon among sullen stones,
That guides the lost sailor safely home.
You are the breeze to the wind,
The diamond to coal, our dreams
Off lively tongues they roll,
From fables to stories we have yet to live,
Our story yet untold.
From now until time is gone, you are
The keeper of my soul.
You are my sun, my moon, my star-dotted night,
With you the days melt into the night,
And become trite.
You are my love, my dream, my winter flame,
My summer breeze, my warm spring rain,
It's pearly beads from the heavens drop
And fall to earth with rainbow tails.
Only in the soil's embrace do they stop,
Like a teardrop dries with passed travails.
You to me are the rainbow from which the storm retreats,
And for you, and you alone…
My heart, it beats.
