Many poet have never known the love they write about either. Sometimes we write of what could have been what should have been but was not. sometimes imagination takes over and we write about it. good ink

There's something deep within me that's resistant To the rapture A safeguard, I suppose, against rejection. A psychological state of mind you are describing in your poem........ you are not alone....... there are so many who are resistant to a rapture... the reason is clear a fear of rejection...... well portrayed.. a great theme...... thank you dear poetess. tony
