A Love Letter To My Soldier Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

A Love Letter To My Soldier

Rating: 5.0

I'll send you some wildflowers
From the field
Where we first made love
I hope the scent would remind you
Of us in love
When you patrol yr base
And I still have those ice cream sandwiches
The one we ate watching yr favorite movie
When I get lonely, I eat one
I hope I won't be fat when you're home
Late at night, I curl against yr pillow
Thinking of you
Especially, when I take a sniff
The scent of yr cologne
Makes me cry
And I know you'll be here in my arms
Unless this war makes us part

So beautiful, I can't imagine the scent of a cologne on the pillow. Sad and romantic.

The poem of the honorable poet is lively with fill of life. It has been penned very well on love and the memory of love. I enjoyed. Thanks for sharing.

The greatest loves are those beautiful moments that feel like they are forever, where the details and the little things are emblematic of the feelings they propagate. I don't know if this is autobiographical but its lovely story. War will never conquer love.

Love is so strong, no force or war can tear it apart. Beautiful piece of a love not encumbered by war or distance.
