The concept of time introduces several points of contradiction into this poem, and it is these contradictions that make "To My Dear and Loving Husband" as interesting as it is.5 Stars for this poem written in Puritan England
" Oppressed minds abrupted tales do tell" A love letter with an intense flow of emotions written to husband by his lovelorn better half burning in memories of their love.
This very piece provokes one to reasoning. It tells of the agitation by Bradstreet to re-unite with his beloved husband who is on course of assignment; she longs for the frigate of night to help deliver her heart rending messages, and to tell him of the prescient love that no wordly panoply of carrion fancies can surmont.
Congratulations to the family of the late poetess in Puritan England Anne Bradstreet. Beautifully worded!
