A Lot Can Happen In Three Days... Poem by fizzy faith

A lot can happen in three days, as prophesied by Christ,
Although Christ knew that He must face His death when sacrificed.
When hoisted high upon a cross that only Christ could bear,
To die for sin, through shame and loss, with Mother Mary there.

While weeping with her broken heart, disciple John stood, too,
When asked by Christ to play his part and do what he should do.
That's why Mary went to his home as John returned to town.
Christ died an enemy of Rome, and yet Christ wore a crown!

A man named Joseph had a tomb, a place to lay the Lord
And though his heart felt numbed by gloom, permission felt assured.
To guarantee Christ would not win, with life after His death,
A rock stayed there to keep Christ in! Jesus of Nazareth!

How futile were the men on guard that God then put to sleep!
Although no doubt they struggled hard, with duties still to keep.
The rock remained, yet rolled aside, the day Lord Jesus rose!
Behold the Man! Once crucified! Just as the sunlight grows!

Miracles shown were soon well-known! His close friends were amazed!
But Thomas stayed, with doubts alone, till on his Saviour gazed!
Then praises poured out like new wine, with Christ no longer dead,
As Thomas sensed Christ as divine, 'My Lord and God! ' he said.

And so, three days proved Christ the King of Calvary and more,
Beyond the Cross and everything that Pilate had in store.
The Father knew and loved His Son and waited patiently,
With precious gifts for everyone, meant for eternity.

Blessed are the ones who have not seen and yet believe in Christ,
More than Thomas has ever been, once faith gets realised.
Eternity's the gift of grace, not earned if just received,
Yes, blessed by faith when love took place in Christians who believed!
