A Lost Horizon Comments

I wrote the poem 'Becalmed A Sailor's Death By Dehydration', inspired by the poem 'A Lost Horizon', by the poet Karen Eisenlord and dedicated to Karen Eisenlord.

An insightful bit of verse nicely crafted with poetic rhyme and rhythm.

'A lost horizon and a barren ship Adrift upon waves of salt water' wonderful imagery of desolation, with hints of 'The Rime Of The Ancient Mariner, turned in a twist with the final stanza 'Break me free of this endless cruel circle The way out of this water-logged cross Bring me a taste of mercy and a miracle Show me, where is my White Albatross? '
