A LOOK - 338
You are nowhere near,
but when I look within,
I find you deep inside—
beating in rhyme to keep me alive.
I see a cool, radiant face,
spreading love and grace,
feeling the agony of each,
working for the salvation of wounded hearts and ailing humanity
My love, you may not be mine,
not in name, not in time,
but you live
in the heart of my heart,
and will remain there
until I cross
to the other side.
