A Look On The Light Side Poem by Belle Wassermeister

A Look On The Light Side

Rating: 5.0

If you're looking for love,
where would you rather be,
Paris or Rome?

If you're hungry and weak,
which would you rather have,
a poem or a pome?

To the first question,
your answer is
a matter of opinion,

but a bird with two wings
versus a bird with one wing
is a matter of a pinion.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
A pome is a fruit such as an apple or a pear. A pinion is the outer part of a bird's wing including the flight feathers.

Nice word play. But it gives a lot to ponder over. Liked your piece

Hey, Belle, I just looked up 'pome', but then I noticed that your Poet's Note(s) 'beat me to it'. btw 'pomology' is sciemce/study/development of varieties of APPLES; I had a pomologist for a Sunday School teacher!
