Electronic moronics are not for me However, here am I meeting you for the first time through the medium. I like your style and am in complete sympathy with the good old curl up and read bit. I am considerably younger than you (a stripling of 88) I shall peruse further your work with confidence To give you an idea of my persona... the other day I was telling my wife of how Irving Berlin was asked if he had something patriotic for the war effort in 1942
Mister Vogler, thank you so much for your comment! As well as for your humourous writings! I suspect that humour is what has kept you young-at-heart!
I'm in the process of rearranginf my library and to me both the physical book and the online sources are important to our lives.Nice poem.. a ten..I wrote a poem titled Library..
Thanks so very much, Lorraine Margueritte, for reading & commenting! Good luck rearranging that library- - I once helped a friend with that job. Her husband was a writer, and we spent the better part of the day dusting off books, dusting off shelves, and putting everything back again! Quite tedious work!
Along with bookstores, libraries Hope we won't see the day When printed books are obsolete, I hope they're here to stay.......so touching and impressive. This beautiful poem is so touchingly and nicely delineated. Thanks for sharing.10

Haha Cap'n, your last just elicited a laugh from me! : D No no, never turn in your charts. How on earth would you navigate a ship without them? ! Thank you for your comment on those lovely bygone days....
A poem with a plea...for books to remain said she...but alas that will never be...it, s the future you see? ........sorry PP! ......well written though.
That's okay, Tom- - a humourous rhyming comment is acceptable to a serious poem- - besides, what you wrote is true! Electronics are taking over the world! Thank you for commenting!
He said I have a little tune I wrote about twenty years ago. He dig out God Bless America I am unable to tell this tale without a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye. I like to think this qualifies me as a sensitive person ta
