There are so many such lonely trees found around the world.....and though a lot of passers-by would have crossed past those trees with special admiration only a very few would have wanted to file their admiration in poetic words for the treasury of poetry...this poem is one such from the poetry-treasury...kudos 10/10

Enchanting poem with powerful metaphors and well laid down, to remind us that thanks to this hard-working farmer, our daily bread is well distributed on our dining table, and not only in our generation but generations before us. The most excellent thought and fitting, thanks to the oak as the chosen metaphor, because the oak can be thousands of years old and can withstand all kinds of disadvantageous species.

Sometimes it is nice to leave what you mean all unspelt. And this one leaves the reader with myriads of interpretations. He too takes an imaginative trip forward. A lovely laconic expression.

The old trees remind us of our ascendants we should plant new trees so that our descendants do not forget us.
