A L'kha Dodi Moment Poem by Bryan Taplits

A L'kha Dodi Moment

One wonders what to use-
Words to describe a shimmering being-
I found those words, L'kha Dodi,
And the searchlight illumines,
My Shabbat Queen.
She's always been sought, since the days of my youth,
In the ages of sins and what once had been,
She's there now unfurled, and in my heart I know her,
To be known and revered,
This Shabbat Queen.
Renowned by my soul
Resounding like a bell's ring,
Embodied in chimes which flit, peal and sing,
Retired? No never. On fire? Forever!
Ever knowing and always known,
The Shabbat Queen.
