You remind me of a statue,
The kind that are found
In the middle of the town.
And knowing you, you'll take this
As a compliment.
Yu look like a statue,
Especially your eyes.
They stare at me blankly,
With no feeling whatsoever.
You smell like a statue,
Mostly of nothing,
But hidden cleverly,
An inhuman, dusty odor.
You hear like a statue,
Which isn't at all!
It doesn't matter what I say,
You could care less.
Most of all, you feel like a statue,
Cold and chilly to the touch,
And if I was to rap on your chest,
It would echo hollowly.
When you stand blocking the way,
I have to go around, because you'll never move.
I could try and love you,
But you, a heartless statue,
Will never love back,
Not that you would want to.
You always have been,
And always will be,
A living statue,
Standing in my way.
