It can be fun to have a little fun
If good fun is coming you shouldn't run
Having harmless fun is fair exercise
Then go and have a little fun but be wise

A wonderful poem.I agree with you.A little fun is required for living a happy life. But don't make fun at the cost of others. That is safe fun and it will not hurt anybody.

I read your poet's notes and felt good to know that the impression that I had while reading the poem itself was exactly as you described. What fun to read your poem. No need to worry about bad consequences. Only joyful feelings abound.................splendid.

Thanks for this poem which allows me to look for 'a little safe fun'. All work and no fun makes Jack a dull boy. Having harmless fun is fair exercise Then go and have a little fun but be wise' - a cautious allowance! Yet nice. 'A little safe fun a little safe fun Live your life with a little safe fun Live it right while there is chance A little safe fun gives life a prance' - wonderful!

Light moments are needed in life....There is no harm in having some fun, provided it doesn't bring regrets or anything unpleasant on its wake! All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy! This famous line is applicable not only toJack but to all men! Enjoyed this highly rhyming poem! !

Have a little fun and remain safe that is the name of the game. A little laughter in life is good for the soul of men and women. Where would life be if there was no fun. Keep smiling. Enjoyed.

i'm glad the second of your poems i read was not so religious-themed, though your subject matter is your choice. this message from you in poetry, 'a little safe fun', is a philosophy i agree with wholeheartedly! it is great to be self-sacrificing at times, but i would not want to live my whole life....or my whole week...or my whole day...without something at least resembling fun. at least a little bit...and safe, to be sure! i like the rhyming and the repetition of 'a little safe fun'. well done, and i didn't NEED the explanation of the title but i always appreciate a note from the poet. i'll send this poem to my poemlist.

I agree, fun and abandonment are two entirely different animals.
