There is so much to say about the freshness of your poetry that I do not know where to start. I am very glad that I took the time to read your work. In 'A Little of Everything', I like the sound and the flow of your words, the melodic way they flow off the tongue. I like the confessional descriptions of being broken as the fall leaves on the forgotten road of your own life, the singing to the bedpost, the sense of aloneness so sadly expressed, and the search for yourself through an uknown, as of yet, someone else. I love the jazz reference, the setting in New Orleans, and the vampire reference. I liked every word of this poem. I am adding this one to my list of favorites. Thank you Kay Allen. You have a poet's heart, and that is a beautiful thing.
Powerful, especially: letting the poetry flow showing me a good time within myself Keep these poems coming! Gershon
