The miracle of a moment that is moving and meaningful has a way of motivating us to do marvalous yet strange things. Wonderfully written.

Nice write, Cheryl. It might be better in the third person, then again might not.

I came across a baby bird that had fell from its nest, only to pass it by while rushing to class, and find it later dead, only to find out later that one of my young student's had a hobby at home of nursing birds. if only I had picked it up.

I can tell this poem took some intricate devising to create such a free flowing and transparent piece. I love the comparison between the unending care of the birds young after hatching, and helping the children out of their 'shells'. This is altogether lovely and unforgettable.

What a nice poem! I used to have blue birds nesting in my house every year. I know how precious were those eggs to them and me. The attention tendered to the disabled and autistic children is also very demanding. Good work and good poem.

Yeah, the power of free verse that can sink to the free, fragile minds of our time. I like the flow of thoughts.
