You speak, and I hear
All the demons in your voice appear
The demon of worry the demon of pain
The demon of sorrow and the demon of strain
The demon of the thoughts we cannot control
Seems like these demons are on a roll
All demons alike, they all take a toll
I cannot let these demons consume your beautiful soul
The light of your heart is but a mere flicker
Questioning if I should do something quicker
I want to console you, to hug you tight
But I alone cannot fix this, despite all my might
These demons they cloud your thoughts and your head
They follow you all the way to your bed
They infest your mind even while you are sleeping
And do not cease even while you are weeping
I know it's hard, but you must cast these demons away
My heart fell for yours, needless to say
Because you are strong and because you are kind
Because your heart is at times stronger than your mind
Do not give way to the demons that plague you
For they cannot harm you if you make them obey you
Use God as your rock, and rise above them all
Know that I will be here if you fall
Life is not easy and neither is love
Do not yield, for God will shield
With life comes struggle, and with love comes choices
It can be hard to listen to all of these voices
When in doubt, remember:
Who you are has not vanished
Your soul is just famished
At times it is best, to put your faith to the test
Let your heart lead and your head follow
Take risks and don't let yourself become hollow
Your heart is strong and your love is pure
Let it guide you
let it lead
In time you'll see, that sometimes a little bit of heart is all you need
