To face a lion live is different viewing it on screen, to look at the lion constantly in the eyes has a way of showing it 'who is boss'. Lines are wonderful to read.

My poem Lion Roars Again is my greatest inspiration of the wild. Your poem a lion roars has just acknowledged that thought. I admire a lion and your thoughts

conquer the powerful.a will to succeed the mighty.a beautifull poem that inspires..the last para is the clique and inspiring. 'A shot rang out…a sound so sweet, The king of beasts lay at my feet, This was no trophy, no great prize. My life...his death…no compromise. ' voted10 surya

The strong and resilient power of a Lion can be felt with the poem though with a melancholic end yet can be conceived as a one facet of the humankind as Vernon Haward says: ''A truly strong person does not need the approval of others any more than a lion needs the approval of sheep''. Best Regards Naseer

Survival of the fittest or just luck - I think luck plays a part in these happenings. I liked this one very much, it flowed really well and held my interest all the way though. A really great read and very well written indeed. Nice one. Love and hugs Ernestine XXX

Great buildup to a sad ending but this is life in the wild - it was not your time to go Alf and I am sure even today that roar fills your ears- not easily forgotten even at a distance...Well written - I could feel the size and power of this wonderful beast

Alf this is a remarkable write. Indeed I have hear the roar of a very old lion - it may have been his last performance as he roared and roared in the grass on the side of the dirt track. It was more emotional than Frank Sinatra's grand finale of 'My Way'. Indeed I could have shaken that paw: -) Thank you Alf - this was wonderful: -)
