A Line In Yellow Poem by Jyotishmoy Boro

A Line In Yellow

Rating: 4.8

I asked for nothing but your voice,
A whisper, a word, just a gentle choice.
In your light, I stood so still,
Watching, waiting, with endless will.
Your favorite color, soft and bright,
Somewhere between green and orange, right.
As it came in silence, yellow was, I guess, ideal!
A stem for every soft sigh.
I drew the line,
A cut-off which I tried to observe,
But even there, with space in between
.......I'll be behind you, unseen….
I still feel blue and it's always for you.
For all I wanted was the whisper,
Simple. That's all.
Except now, everything you do,
feels like a yellow in the setting sky.

A colorful poem. The sunset will be followed by a sunrise, I'm sure!
