TOP Marks Full for this gorgeous poem, masterfully ended, only Emily can do like this. None other. To MyFavourites. CONGRATS to the family of the late great poetess being chosen as The Classic Poem Of The Day.

The poem explores the limits of human perception, the conflict between scientific explanation and intuition, and the frustrating gap between moments of intense spirituality and humdrum everyday life.

A fascinating landscape or a series of those lovely portrayals. It is the greed of man that takes away the sheen out the nature's bounties, Thanks.

Well good Sarah thanks for letting me know, this is one I have never read. And I disagree with your conclusion. But that's my opinion. Which you always beat out of me! I thought it was marvellous not forced in any way.

trade certainly affects content, but is there an under-estimation of science?

Recalling Emily’s usual lining of poems, I had a bit of a challenge with the sentence carrying over from the last line of the first stanza into the second. That worked out, I relate to the transitory light or opening to the landscape which causes her to see it in a fresh way. And I resonate with her describing this experience as something sacred—for the Creator’s signature is seen in the creation. -GK
