Karna was destined to die as he joined the wrong side of the war. But it is a falacy that karna was mightier than Arjuna that became popular due to movies and other later Mahabharatha based stories. But MahaBharatha says that Arjuna was the greatest warrior of those times. Remember, Arjuna all alone defeated all Kauravas at the time of Uttara Gograhana......... But this poem is really nice and composed in a compact form, easy to understand even for foreign nationals.

The best portion in Mahabharat is the role of Karna. He was an inspiring Soul for dharma and friendship. Now and then, I see the Tamil film 'Karna' in which the popular actor Late Sivaji Ganesan played the excellent role of Karna. The final moment of Karna's departure from this world is really a touching scene, when Krishna sings in praise of Karna. The famous actor Late N.T. Rama Rao plays Krishna's role excellently. This scene still comes to mind as a flash back, when I read your marvellous poem.
