A Letter To A Girl I Used To Know Poem by Alison Mujati

A Letter To A Girl I Used To Know

A letter to a girl I used to know

The spell of that wicked witch
Created to destroy long-lived peace
A virus existing to poke scars
No longer degree of high pain
But the agony of no gain is worse
What is past when its ghosts haunt more than real ones

Within this hollowed dilemma
Not sure whether to keep this broken heart or not.
When I seek new love, it takes a deeper dive
Pigeons and dove's love I still seek
None comes right to replace an oldie
Should this remain a trying time?

Not sure how the future pens out
The present has been devilish
I live inside the deep pit of hell
Who to cry to for a closed chapter?

It takes two to tango
My tears might be exactly what you are suffering.
Are you too stubborn to return to your right place?

Let me not assume things
People think I'm losing it
Of course not,
It's what true love does to people.

Heart breaks, we could live a good life without them.
