Comparing the world with a lame fly is truly philosophic. Someone asked Hazrat Ali, how much a man is dependent on his fate and how much he is independent? Ali replied stand on one of your foot, he did so. Then Ali asked him to lift the other foot in the same position. The man said that that was not possible. So we all are lame flies, partly dependent and partly independent, and like the lame fly we have no alternate but to beg the mercy of our creator.
